Please note: During the second half of July and first part of August, due to the Zürich Canton Summer Break, there will be no Sunday School classes. There is a special program for 2 to 5 year olds in the French church basement. Children 6 and older are welcome to attend the worship service, where there will be a children's message and activity booklets. Sunday School classes resume in late August.
IPC Children's Ministry offers Sunday School classes for all children up to age 12. Classes take place Sundays during the 11:30 morning worship service. Younger children (2-3) are in the French Church building and the older ones (4-12) are in the Kantonsschule Stadelhofen.
IPC Sunday School Statement of Purpose
The Sunday School program at IPC is committed to presenting the Gospel to children and families and helping them to understand and apply the truth of God's Word in attitude and service.
This is accomplished by:
- Introducing each person of the Trinity: God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
- Demonstrating how to have a loving, personal relationship with God in deed, word, prayer.
- Teaching how to become a responsible and caring Christian in relationships with others.
- Modeling biblical values, participating in praise and worship, and developing social skills through class participation.
This Year's Theme: “UP, IN, OUT”
In their Sunday School classes, the children of IPC will learn core values of Christian discipleship as they grow in their relationship with God (UP), strengthen their unity with other Christians (IN), and practice being the light of Christ in their communities (OUT).
Sunday School Offering
We encourage IPC Sunday School children to bring an offering as training to tithe and to support God’s kingdom work. Starting this September, Sunday School has begun supporting the Street Kids Direct (SKD) ministry. Since the charity began supporting the children on the streets of Guatemala City in 2001, it has grown into one of the most effective charities working with street children in Guatemala today and now supporting work with street and "high-risk" children in Honduras. IPC has supported SKD with special offerings in the past.
Sunday School Schedule
Sunday School classes take place during morning worship (currently 12:00). Younger children (2-3) are in the French Church building and the older ones (4-12) are in the Kantonsschule Stadelhofen. We are currently unable to offer childcare for babies under 2 years old.
