How priceless is your unfailing love, O God! People take refuge in the shadow of your wings. They feast on the abundance of your house; you give them drink from your river of delights. For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light. (Psalm 36:7-9)

How wonderfully gracious God is!  Life with him is certainly NOT all work and no fun.  He knows us so well and knows exactly what we need and when. He knows when we are weary and heavy-laden and he gives us the rest that we need. He knows how to refresh us with his Word, to renew our strength, to comfort and help us, to give us a new song even in dark times.

How often did he send you a friend in a time of need, a special token of his love, his healing touch? Yes, he knows how to prepare little feasts for us along the way, to lead and protect us. He never leaves us. He has gone to prepare a place for us, and some day there will be a great feast in heaven with all the redeemed, from every nation and language.

Let us humbly thank him for all he suffered to make all this possible. He endured the Cross for the joy that awaited him after his work of salvation was accomplished, and he did it all because he loves us so.
